Chris Brace, President

Chris graduated from the College of the North Atlantic in 1998, as a Certified Engineering Technician (CET).  Additional certificates include an Interprovincial ticket with HRI, Heat Loss and Heat Gain Calculation from HRAI’s skill Tech Academy, Steam Systems Hardware and CSA standard Z317.13-03 Infection control.  Chris is responsible to oversee the operation of the company including estimating, purchasing, project management and liaison with general contractors, as well as project engineers and architects.


Ian MacSween, Commercial Superintendent

Trained at the Cape Breton Regional Vocational School in the plumbing trade – Class 1 petroleum storage tank installation, medical gas system installation, basic welding, natural gas course and blueprint reading.  Journeyman plumber.  Ian is responsible for the co-ordination of jobs and employee supervision.  Ian has been working in the industry since 1971.


Terry Kelly, Industrial Superintendent

Expert in industrial projects and works as estimator and project manager.  Worked extensively at Stora Enso, Point Tupper Fractionation Plant, Sable Offshore and NS Power at the Pt. Aconi Generating Plant.  Trained at the Cape Breton Regional Vocational School in the plumbing trade, and is Gold Seal certified.  Worked in the trade since 1975.


Donnie Gillis, Commercial Foreman

Donnie has worked in trade since 1976.  he is certified as a Journeymen plumber – trained at Cape Breton Regional Vocational School.  Involved in industrial projects as foreman and supervisor on industrial sites.


Brian MacLeod, Commercial Foreman

Trained in the plumbing field at the Nova Scotia Institute of Technology.  Certificate to install Smith Red Thread Fibreglass pipe, medical gas installer, petroleum storage tank installer, safety and hazardous goods training.  In trade since 1980, Brian Specializes in commercial projects.


Carson Mugford, Controller

Carson received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Acadia University in 1989.  He has since upgraded his BBA with a Diploma in Management Accounting from St. Mary’s University in 1997.  Carson also obtained his Professional Accounting Designation as a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) in 1999.  As our controller, Carson is responsible to oversee all aspects of the finance department. His duties also include the company’s computer system and project bonding and insurance. Carson has been employed in the construction industry since 1993.


Travis Campbell, Sheet Metal Shop Foreman

Travis studied in the Sheet Metal trade at the Nova Scotia Institute of Technology.  He has been in the industry since 1976, and is employed as Forman in our Sheet Metal Shop.  Travis oversees operations, and manages projects, held within the sheet metal shop.


Shane Clark, Industrial Foreman

Shane was trained at NSCC Marconi Campus in the Plumbing Trade.  He holds a Certified Red Seal and Interprovincial Steam/Pipefitting Tickets, as well as is a WETT Certified Heating Inspector.  Shane has been involved in Industrial as well as Commercial Fabrication projects since 2001.

George Bennett, Mechanical Estimator

George graduated with honors from the Technical University of Nova Scotia in 1995, as a Mechanical Engineer. In 1997 he received his professional status (P.Eng). George's experience includes technical engineering, project estimation & management in the institutional, commercial and industrial sectors as well as equipment selection, installation design, tendering, construction administration, start up and commissioning. George is responsible for the estimating department and project management.


Howard Nardocchio, HVAC Estimator

 Howard graduated in 1969 as a Mechanical Draftsman and has worked on many local projects in that capacity over the years. Howard has attended numerous factory based seminars and gained training on duct system design, air handling equipment sizing and selection, as well as hydronic heating system design.  Howard serves as our main HVAC estimator. His duties also include purchasing equipment and materials for projects, coordination with site foreman and sub contractor scheduling. His responsibilities also include working as a liaison with respective architects, engineers, and owners on engineered projects as well as the ever-increasing design build project market. All project estimating is performed using our new state of the art computerized estimating program.
